"YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE"

"YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE ".

"When you walk through the storm, there is no light at the end of the tunnel, you are afraid of the dark, and your dreams are shaken and knocked... hold your head up high and don't be afraid of the dark... At the end of the storm there is a golden sky... Walk through the wind, through the rain, with hope in your heart and so you will never walk alone again." A wonderful lyrics of soul and hope, and a heartfelt melody, that Elvis raises to immortality with his interpretation; with that beautiful and deep gospel flavor that ran through his veins.

"You'll Never Walk Alone" was recorded by Elvis on Monday, September 11, 1967, at RCA Studio B in Nashville. These September sessions would be a turning point in the artistic growth of Elvis, who was immersed in the recording of soundtracks for his films. It was Elvis himself who played the piano in the performance of this song. For the master take, a 30-second splice of take 8 and the last part of take 1 was made. It was released as a B-side single to "We Call On Him" on March 26, 1968.

It was composed by the greats Richard Rodgers (music) and Oscar Hammerstein (lyrics) for the musical Carousel, which premiered on Broadway in 1945, and was recorded by many great artists such as Gerry and the Pacemakers, Frank Sinatra, Roy Hamilton, Johnny Cash, Barbra Streisand or Mahalia Jackson, among many others.

Sung by fans of Liverpool F.C. in 1963, the song became the anthem of the Club, which made its title its own as the official motto on its shield. The song is sung in unison by his fans, moments before the start of each game, at their Anfield stadium, with the Gerry and the Pacemakers version playing over the public address system. Creating an emotional start to every match.

Elvis's interpretation of this theme, with his voice at its best, is absolutely chilling and full of soul, with a spirituality that brings you to tears and makes us drink from the source of faith, hope and the light that illuminates even the air that escapes between each of his phrases. A song to also keep in our hearts, which will always remind us that we will never walk alone.
