Information
It's Now Or Never is clearly inspired by the Italian song O Sole Mio, composed in 1898 by Eduardo Di Capua and Giovanni Capurro and which great artists brought to success such as Enrico Caruso or Mario Lanza, the latter much liked by Elvis. It's Now Or Never entered the Hot 100 charts on July 18, 1960 but it would not be until August 15 when it would rise to the top position, since it held for five weeks. In Rythm & Blues charts it gets a seventh position. The take chosen to make the master was number four.
Its B-side, A Mess Of Blues, would manage to reach number thirty-two as the best position on the charts. The master was taken from take five.
This single is currently platinum.
