Information
Surrender, once again Elvis dares with an adaptation of an Italian classic, this time by Torna Sorrento, composed in 1902 by Giambattista and Ernesto de Curtis, which Dean Martin recorded in Italian in 1952. Elvis would record it in the same session of recording in which he prepared the songs for the LP His Hand In Mine. On February 20, 1961, it would enter the Billboard Hot 100 list and on March 26 it would reach the first position. The take chosen to make the master was number four.
Lonely Man, B-side of this single, would be recorded in the sessions for the soundtrack of Wild In The Country (1961), although it would not appear in the film in the end. It would reach position number 32 on the Billboard charts. Take number thirteen was chosen to make the master.
