Here we see Elvis Presley purchasing the first $1 pin for "Coffee Day For Crippled Children" from Memphis restaurant owner Monte Robinson.
The pins were sold by waitresses at 130 Memphis restaurants and 340 other locations in Tennessee and entitled the wearer to free coffee on Good Friday, April 19, 1957.
