A single recording session scheduled for October 15, 1961 in Nashville resulted in the two tracks that make up this single plus "For The Millionth And The Last Time", "I Met Her Today" and "Night Rider". Jerry Kennedy's guitar accompanied on this occasion the regulars Scotty Moore, Bob Moore, D.J. Fontana, "Buddy" Harman, Floyd Cramer, "Boots" Randolph, Jordanaires and Millie Kirkham.
Side A reaches number 1 on charts on both sides of the Atlantic. The master take was number four.
Anything That's Part Of You, its B-side, entered the charts on March 17, 1962, reaching number 31 as the most privileged position on the Billboard magazine Hot 100 charts. Take ten was chosen as the master.
